Brazil’s Regulated iGaming Market: Six Months of Growth, Promise & Strategic Progress

Brazil’s regulated online betting market has passed its six-month milestone, marking a crucial stage in developing one of the world’s most closely watched gaming jurisdictions.

Estimates published by iGaming Brazil suggest that municipal licensing structures alone could generate up to R$11.6 billion annually. With more than 2,000 CNPJs (legal company registrations) already linked to gambling businesses across Brazil, interest in the regulated market continues to rise.

While early momentum has been promising, areas are still under discussion. The CPI das Bets (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on Betting) has been tasked with producing its final report by June 2025. Meanwhile, ongoing debates in the Chamber of Deputies cover advertising restrictions, integrity frameworks, and protections against match-fixing. Similarly, discussions around social impact are bringing more issues into mainstream focus. Despite this, the consensus appears to remain broadly positive as the market stabilises generally.
